Getting from A to B

I started designing in 2008 and in the beginning was self-taught. A desire for further learning led me to study a Diploma of Graphic Design and Advertising. While working at a printers, I developed a thorough grounding in print design. I then quickly started adding web design skills, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript, to my quiver. These skills are being extended through a Masters in Interaction Design at The University of Queensland. Through this, I have developed a love for coding, especially the problem solving aspects.

Along with procrastiworking, I jump at the chance to develop skills that compliment and push my design skills forward. Recent workshops I have participated in include Lettering for Designers, Sign Painting, Type by Hand, Letterpress, and Screen Printing.

Current employment

I'm currently employed by The University of Queensland Library as a graphic designer. My role is diverse, spanning print and digital design, and provides new opportunities everyday for me to help create, develop, and communicate ideas through design. Fun facts

You may have gathered that I am a bit of a cat-lover, that is an understatement (just look at my Instagram feed). I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music and believe in learning for the sake of learning. I am also a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society, the Letter Writing Alliance, and an amateur astronomer.
